Yangpyeong strives to protect its residents
as well as its nature. The Freshwater Fish
Research Institute exhibits a large collection
of freshwater fish which are known to inhabit
Korea, such as the Shiri, and the Dongjagae.
Visitors can observe over 50 kinds of rare,
Korean fish currently displayed in the hall.
The Institute also gives visitors the opportunity
to learn about other kinds of aquatic creatures
such as carps, eels, and crucian carps, or
watch the process of raising flies in open
air pools. Information: (031)772-3480
