Introduction
Mount Jungmisan Observatory, located in Mount
Jungmisan Recreational Park, approximately
437 meters above sea, takes about 40 minutes
to reach from Seoul. It is filled with
the beauty of nature and the mysterious
scenery of the universe and it does not
have any air-pollution or environmental
pollution, either. People are able to see
the most stars in the suburbs of Seoul.
One is able to see 3~4 stars of the first
magnitude from the sky of Seoul, however,
it is able to see about 3,000 stars from
Mount Jungmisan Observatory. It is also
possible to observe the craters of the
moon, the sea, mountain ranges, the stripes
pattern of Saturn, and nebulas and star
clusters.
