Kim Byeongho Goga (old house)

icon This old house was built at the end of the Joseon period.
Initially, King Gojong's eunuch, who later resigned, built this house with the remune-ration he received.

The main building of the house and the servants' quarter form a shape of an open ¤±. The main building faces southeast with the form of ¤¡, and the servants' quarter is across the main building, and right-angled from this quarter is the front gate. An ancestral tablet is enshrined in the Ondol room at the end of the building.
The plane structure of the main building is a typical from of the Gyeonggi district, but it is functional and also forms a unique appearance. The servants' quarter is known to have been destroyed during the Korean War, but has been re-built at the same old place.
