Hwaedonghwaje (Donghwataeugi)
Throughout history, the area surrounding, and including, the Seoksan Valley and Sori Mountain has been referred to as a 'small Diamond' for its breathtaking views resembling Mount Diamond of North Korea.
The Gorosoi Festival, which is held in this area every March, is held during the early part of every Spring season, as soon as the Winter snow has melted. There are many events that occur at the festival, including the drinking of Gorosoi sap after many visitors hike the Sori Mountain. The famous sap is considered a healthy supplement and harvested from the trees on Mount Sori every year. Aside from partaking in the Gorosoi sap, visitors can also sample a variety of delicious cuisines that are provided at the Festival.
